THE VALUE OF WOMEN

For a long time, we have heard the phrase "men are made in the image of God, but not women. Women are only made in the image of man."

However, in the Bible, which is my favorite source of Wisdom, we read this in Genesis 1 verse 27: "God created Mankind in His image. He created him in the image of God. He created him (in) male and female (version)."

This verse has touched me for a long time. Seeing that God, unlike many men, considers that men and women have the same value in His eyes, is beautiful and soothing. The value of the man and the woman is in fact the value of the image of their Creator, given to them as an act of Love. Each of them carries a facet of God, as well as divine characteristics and abilities passed down to them for a specific purpose on Earth.

What makes us made in the image of God is not just the way we are weaved. It is also the fact of receiving His Spirit within us, in our hearts, and becoming one with Him. This is what this inspired painting represents: the Spirit of God entering the woman, on the day of her creation; her First Breath.
